Featured Products, Schedule, Massive Upload, and Workflow

Highlight dishes, set menu availability hours, bulk-build a menu, and show timed customer pop-ups.

This article covers four tools that live under the Menu management (ES: "Gestión de menú") section of the sidebar, alongside your regular menu/categories/products screens. They let you highlight your best dishes, set availability hours for menus and items, load a whole menu in bulk (including from images), and show pop-up messages to your customers on a schedule.

What you can do here

  • Highlight your best dishes with two kinds of featured collections — a Top Rated list of products and a Featured carousel of short product videos — and choose which channels (Microsites, app, web, TV) each one appears on. See Featured Products.
  • Set availability hours for menus and products with Schedule — e.g. a lunch menu that only shows 11 am–3 pm, or a happy-hour category that appears only on weekends. See Schedule.
  • Load a full menu fast with Massive Upload — create many menus, categories, and products at once, attach their images, machine-translate them to other languages, or build/import a catalog from menu images or PDFs via the Catalog from image tab. See Massive Upload.
  • Show timed pop-ups to customers with Workflow — a scheduled modal (quick-pick, informative, or warning/allergen) that appears on a channel during the days/hours you set. See Workflow.

Where to find it

All four items sit in the left sidebar under Menu management (ES: "Gestión de menú"):

ItemSidebar labelURLPermission needed
Featured ProductsFeatured products (ES: "Productos destacados")https://admin.eatsyorders.com/management/featured-productssee-featured-products
ScheduleSchedule (ES: "Horario")https://admin.eatsyorders.com/management/schedulesee-schedule
Massive UploadMassive upload (ES: "Carga masiva")https://admin.eatsyorders.com/management/massive-uploadmassive-upload
WorkflowWorkflow (ES: "Flujo de trabajo")https://admin.eatsyorders.com/management/workflowsee-workflow

Visibility / access gating (read this first):

  • Each item only appears in the sidebar if your role has the permission listed above. Without it, the item is hidden and opening its URL directly shows a "you do not have permission" message.
  • Massive Upload (including the Catalog from image tab) is hidden when the data Source is "Integrated" . The product list at the top of the app has a Source selector (All / EatsyOrders / Integrated). When the menu comes from an integrated/POS system, bulk creating menus and products is turned off, so the Massive Upload item disappears from the sidebar and the page shows the permission message.
  • Schedule still works with an integrated source, but its New schedule button is hidden while the Source is "Integrated" — you can view existing schedules, but the button to create a new one disappears entirely (the empty-state "create" link is removed too), so you cannot create new schedules from this app while on the integrated source.
  • These tools always act on your currently active location (the location selected at the top of the app). Switching locations changes what you see here.

Where to find it: Menu management → Featured products · https://admin.eatsyorders.com/management/featured-products

What it's for: This screen is where you highlight specific dishes across your customer-facing channels. It has two inner tabs — Top Rated (ES: "Más valorados") and Featured (ES: "Productos destacados") — and each one is a different kind of highlight. You pick the products and choose which channels show them.

The channels you can target (shown as chips with icons): Microsites, On Site App, On Site Web, and White Label (the in-restaurant TV / kiosk). Which channels are available depends on the products your account has.

Visibility: The whole screen needs see-featured-products. Within it, the Top Rated tab needs see-top-rated-products and the Featured tab needs see-popular-products. You only see the tabs you have permission for; if you have just one, the page opens straight on it.

Tab 1 — Top Rated (ES: "Más valorados")

What it's for: A ranked, ordered list of up to 10 products you want to promote as your best-rated items. You can keep several Top Rated sections, each pointing at its own set of channels.

Each Top Rated section is shown as an expandable row with its title, how many products it contains (and a preview of the first few names), and the channels it targets as chips. A red trash icon on the row deletes it.

Create a Top Rated section

  1. Open Featured products → Top Rated tab.
  2. Click Create Top Rated section (ES: "Crear sección destacados") on the right.
  3. A product picker opens. Select up to 10 products (the picker stops you at 10).
  4. Confirm your selection. The section is created on all currently available channels by default, and you get a "Top Rated section created successfully" (ES: "Sección destacados creada") message.

Edit which products are in a section

  1. Expand the section's row.
  2. Use the edit control inside to reopen the product picker, change the selection (still capped at 10), and confirm. Products are saved in the order/position you set, and you get a "Top Rated section updated successfully" message.

Change which channels a section appears on

  1. Expand the section's row.
  2. Use Edit channels (ES: "Editar canales") to tick the channels this section should appear on, then save. You get a "Channels updated successfully" (ES: "Canales actualizados") message.

Delete a Top Rated section

  1. Click the red trash icon on the section's row (or use the delete control inside the expanded row).
  2. A Confirm delete (ES: "Confirmar eliminación") dialog appears.
  3. Confirm to delete. You get a "Top Rated section deleted successfully" message.

Top Rated — limits & gotchas

  • Maximum 10 products per section (enforced by the picker).
  • Duplicate products are removed automatically — adding the same dish twice keeps just one copy.
  • A new section is created against every channel currently available to your account; narrow it afterward with Edit channels if you only want it on some.
  • Deleting is confirmed via a dialog, but once confirmed it cannot be undone from this screen.

What it's for: A carousel of short product videos — each entry links a vertical video to one product, so customers see a scrollable, reels-style strip of featured dishes. You can keep several Featured sections, each with its own channels and a display location.

Each Featured section is an expandable row showing its title, how many videos it contains, the channels it targets, and its Display location (ES: "Ubicación de visualización") — either Home or Categories. A red trash icon deletes the section.

Create a Featured (video) section

  1. Open Featured products → Featured tab.
  2. Click Create a new Popular section (ES: "Crear sección populares").
  3. The Edit video (ES: "Editar video") modal opens. Upload your video. The helper text reminds you: "You can upload a video in vertical format." (ES: "Puedes subir un vídeo en formato vertical.")
  4. After the video is accepted, a product picker opens — select one product to attach the video to.
  5. Confirm. The section is created on all available channels with display location Home, and you get a "popular product created successfully" message.

Add another video to an existing section / edit it

  1. Expand the section's row and use its edit control. This reopens the Edit video modal so you can add another video, then pick the product it belongs to.
  2. Confirm. The new video is appended and you get a "popular product updated successfully" message.

Delete a Featured section

  1. Click the red trash icon on the row.
  2. A Confirm delete dialog appears (it tells you which item it will remove).
  3. Confirm to delete. You get a "popular product deleted successfully" message.

Featured — limits & gotchas

  • Upload vertical videos. The format is meant to be portrait/reels-style; horizontal videos will not look right.
  • One product per video entry. The video picker links a single product; build a multi-dish carousel by adding several video entries to the same section.
  • Video encoding matters. Videos must play on iOS — re-encode to H.264 before uploading. (VP9-encoded clips, such as some downloaded reels, will not load on iPhones.)
  • If you don't select a video, you'll see a "no video selected" error and the section won't be created.
  • New sections default to all available channels and the Home display location.

Schedule

Where to find it: Menu management → Schedule · https://admin.eatsyorders.com/management/schedule

What it's for: A schedule controls when a menu, category, or product is available to customers. You define days and time ranges (e.g. Mon–Fri 11:00–15:00), pick which catalog items the schedule applies to, and choose which channels it affects. Outside those hours the items are hidden (unless you mark them visible outside the schedule).

The page shows a list of your schedules. Click any schedule's row to see a preview of its weekly hours below the table. Each row has switches and an actions menu (see below).

Visibility: Needs see-schedule. Creating needs add-schedule; editing needs edit-schedule; deleting needs delete-schedule. The New schedule button (and the empty-state "create" link) is hidden when the Source is "Integrated" — it isn't shown in a greyed-out/disabled state, it's removed from the page entirely. So when you're on the integrated source you simply won't see any way to create a schedule, even though the existing list still displays.

What each schedule row shows and its switches

Each schedule in the list has three on/off switches you can flip directly from the row (no need to open the editor):

SwitchWhat it does
Active (status)Turns the whole schedule on or off. Flipping it shows a "[name] status changed" message.
Automatically import new items (ES: "Importar automáticamente nuevos elementos (Categorías y Productos)")When on, products/categories you add later are automatically pulled into this schedule.
Visible outside schedule (ES: "Visible fuera del horario")When on, the items stay visible (e.g. greyed/unavailable) outside the scheduled hours instead of disappearing.

The row's three-dot actions menu offers Edit (ES: "Editar") and Delete (ES: "Eliminar"), each shown only if you have the matching permission.

Create a schedule

Requires add-schedule, and the Source must not be "Integrated".

  1. Open the Schedule page.

  2. Click New schedule (ES: "Nuevo horario") at the top right. (If the list is empty, you can also click the Create new schedule (ES: "Crear nuevo horario") link in the empty state.) Note: both the button and the empty-state link are only present when the Source is not "Integrated" — on the integrated source neither one is shown.

  3. A 3-step wizard opens with steps Time range (ES: "Rango de tiempo"), Channel (ES: "Canal"), and Manage items (ES: "Administrar elementos"). You move forward with Continue (ES: "Continuar") and finish with Save (ES: "Guardar"). You cannot jump ahead to a step until the earlier steps are valid.

    • Step 1 — Time range / details: Enter the schedule Name, set the Active and Automatically import new items switches, then build the weekly hours: click a day chip (Sun–Sat) and add one or more time ranges for it (start/end), or tick Open 24 hours (ES: "Abrir 24 horas"). Use Duplicate (ES: "Duplicar") to copy the active day's hours onto other days, and Clear (ES: "Limpiar") to wipe the active day. A live preview of the week is shown.
    • Step 2 — Channel: Pick at least one channel the schedule applies to.
    • Step 3 — Manage items: Pick at least one catalog item (menu/category/product) the schedule applies to.
  4. Click Save. A confirmation dialog appears; confirm to finish. The new schedule appears in the list.

Edit a schedule

Requires edit-schedule.

  1. In the list, open the schedule's three-dot menu and choose Edit (ES: "Editar"). A side panel (drawer) slides in from the right with the schedule's details, channels, and items in one scrollable form.
  2. Change the name, switches, day/time ranges, channels, or items.
  3. Click Save and confirm. You get a "[name] [edited successfully]" message and the list refreshes.

Delete a schedule

Requires delete-schedule.

  1. Open the schedule's three-dot menu and choose Delete (ES: "Eliminar").
  2. A Delete schedule (ES: "Eliminar horario") confirmation dialog appears.
  3. Confirm. On success you get a "[name] was deleted successfully" message. If it fails the dialog stays open so you can retry.

Duplicating a day's hours (the "Assign time" modal)

While editing the weekly hours (in the create wizard or the edit drawer), the Duplicate button opens a small Assign time (ES: "Asignar tiempo") modal:

  1. Click Duplicate (ES: "Duplicar") under the day you've just configured.
  2. The modal lists every weekday with a switch. The currently active day (and any days you can't copy into) are disabled.
  3. Flip on the days you want to copy this day's time ranges to.
  4. Click Save (ES: "Guardar"). The active day's hours are copied to all the days you ticked.

Schedule form — field reference

FieldWhat it doesRequired / validation
Name (ES: "Nombre")The schedule's display name.Required ("Name is required"). Max 255 characters.
Active switchWhether the schedule is enforced.Optional (defaults on).
Automatically import new items switchAuto-adds future categories/products to this schedule.Optional (defaults on).
Visible outside schedule switchKeep items shown (unavailable) outside the hours instead of hiding them.Optional (defaults off).
Day time ranges (start / end per day)The available hours per weekday. At least one day configuration is required. Each range needs a start hour and end hour, and the end time must be later than the start time. "Open 24 hours" sets the day to 00:00–23:59.
Channel(s)Which channels the schedule applies to.At least one channel is required.
Manage items (catalog)Which menus/categories/products the schedule applies to.At least one catalog item is required.

Schedule gotchas / limits:

  • Shift4 (POS) menus have extra rules. If a selected menu comes from Shift4: you may only select that single Shift4 menu (no mixing with other items), and only the Microsites and White Label channels are allowed for it. The form blocks invalid combinations and shows a specific error if you've already scheduled a Shift4 menu on those channels.
  • The end time must be strictly after the start time for every range — overlapping or backwards ranges are rejected.
  • "Open 24 hours" replaces a day's custom ranges with a full-day 00:00–23:59 window.

Massive Upload

Where to find it: Menu management → Massive upload · https://admin.eatsyorders.com/management/massive-upload

What it's for: A fast way to build a menu in bulk. Instead of creating items one at a time, you fill rows in a table and the system creates them one after another, showing a live progress log — or you upload menu photos/PDFs and let the system extract products for you. The page has six tabs. The first five are meant to be used in order for a classic bulk build; the sixth is a separate image-based import flow:

  1. Menus (ES: "Menús")
  2. Categories (ES: "Categorías")
  3. Products (ES: "Productos")
  4. Images (ES: "Imágenes")
  5. Translation (ES: "Traducción")
  6. Catalog from image (ES: "Catálogo desde imagen") — https://admin.eatsyorders.com/management/massive-upload?tab=catalog-from-image (also reachable via redirect /management/catalog-from-image)

A small help icon sits next to the page title. Each of the first five tabs (except Menus) has an Import (ES: "Importar") button at the top right to pull in items created in earlier steps. The Catalog from image tab uses its own wizard instead of that Import button.

Visibility: Needs the massive-upload permission (same for every tab, including Catalog from image). The whole page (and its sidebar item) is hidden when the data Source is "Integrated"/External — bulk creation and catalog-from-image aren't available for integrated menus.

Important — about every bulk run: When you start a bulk create/upload, a progress modal opens with the warning "Please do not close this window until the operation is finished." (ES: "Por favor no cierres esta ventana hasta que la operación haya terminado.") Each item is created one by one and marked success or error in the log. When it finishes you choose Continue (ES: "Continuar") to move to the next tab, or Stay in section (ES: "Permanecer en la sección") to keep working here.

Tab 1 — Menus

What it's for: Create several top-level menus at once. The form starts with four empty rows; add more with the add-menu button or remove rows (you must keep at least one).

  1. Fill the Name for each menu you want (optionally a description; each row has an active toggle).
  2. Click Create Menus (ES: "Crear menús").
  3. The progress modal creates each menu in turn. When done, click Continue to go to Categories, or Stay in section.

Fields: Name — required, max 255 chars. Description — optional, max 255 chars. Each row has an active switch. Already-created menus in the list are locked (you can't edit a row that's already been created).

Tab 2 — Categories

What it's for: Add categories under the menus you just created. If you arrive empty, use Import menus (ES: "Importar menús") to pull in your menus, then add category rows under each.

  1. Click Import / Import menus and select the menus to work under.
  2. Under each menu, fill category Name rows (add/remove as needed).
  3. Click the create button. The progress modal runs; then Continue to Products or Stay in section.

Fields: category Name — required, max 255; Description — optional, max 255; active switch. At least one category per menu is required.

Tab 3 — Products

What it's for: Add products (articles) under your categories. If empty, use Import categories (ES: "Importar categorías") to pull categories in; each comes pre-filled with four empty product rows.

  1. Click Import / Import categories and pick the categories to fill.
  2. Under each category, fill product rows — Name, Price, an optional description, and a status. Add or remove rows (keep at least one per category).
  3. Click Create Products (ES: "Crear productos").
  4. The progress modal creates each product in turn; then Continue to Images or Stay in section.

Fields: product Name — required, max 255; Pricerequired ("Price is required"); Description — optional, max 500; status select. At least one product per category is required.

Tab 4 — Images

What it's for: Attach photos to products in bulk. If empty, use Import articles (ES: "Importar artículos") to pull products in, then drop images onto each.

  1. Click Import / Import articles and select the products to add photos to.
  2. For each product, upload up to 3 images and mark one as the main image (ES: "Imagen principal").
  3. Click Save (ES: "Guardar"). The progress modal uploads (and removes any you deleted) one product at a time. When done, Go to resume (ES: "Ir al resumen") returns you to the menu overview, or Stay in section.

Fields / limits: Max 3 images per product. You choose which is the main image. The Save button stays disabled until you actually add or remove at least one image.

Tab 5 — Translation

What it's for: Machine-translate your catalog into another language in bulk, review, then save. You can translate Menus, Categories, Products, Modifiers, and Modifier items.

  1. Open the Translation tab. If you haven't set up languages yet, a language configuration step opens first — set your target language(s) and save.
  2. Click Import / Import item (ES: "Importar item"). A selector opens where you pick the type (menus/categories/products/modifiers/modifier items) and the specific items to translate.
  3. The system auto-translates the selected items into your configured language and shows them in an editable table. Review and correct each translation — auto-translation is a starting point, not final.
  4. Click Save translations (ES: "Guardar traducciones"). On success you get a "language saved successfully" message.

Translation gotchas:

  • Always review auto-translations before saving — they are not reliable enough to publish as-is. Curate the wording in the table.
  • You translate one type at a time (switching type resets the working list).
  • A target language must be configured before you can import items; if none is set, the config step opens automatically.

Tab 6 — Catalog from image (ES: "Catálogo desde imagen")

Where to find it: Menu management → Massive uploadCatalog from image · https://admin.eatsyorders.com/management/massive-upload?tab=catalog-from-image (redirect from /management/catalog-from-image)

What it's for: Build or import catalog content from menu images or PDFs. You upload photos/scans of a printed menu; the system extracts products; you review and edit them; then you save them as a new menu under the active location.

The tab is a 3-step wizard: Upload (ES: "Carga") → Processing (ES: "Procesamiento") → Review (ES: "Revisión").

Step 1 — Upload

  1. Open the Catalog from image tab.
  2. Drag files onto the dropzone (Drag files here or click to browse / ES: "Arrastra archivos aquí o haz clic para seleccionarlos"), or browse to select them. Helper text: "Select up to 5 files in JPG, JPEG, PNG, WEBP, or PDF format (30 MB total across all files)." (ES: "Selecciona hasta 5 archivos en formato JPG, JPEG, PNG, WEBP o PDF (30 MB en total entre todos).")
  3. Review the Selected files (ES: "Archivos seleccionados") list; remove any with Remove file (ES: "Quitar archivo").
  4. Click Send for processing (ES: "Enviar a procesamiento").

Step 2 — Processing

The screen shows progress while files are queued, uploaded, and processed (Queued, Uploading, Sent, Processing, Extracted, or Failed). Helper text: "We are processing your files. You can stay on this screen until it finishes." (ES: "Estamos procesando tus archivos. Puedes permanecer en esta pantalla hasta que termine.") If processing fails or times out, use Retry (ES: "Reintentar") or Start over (ES: "Empezar de nuevo").

Step 3 — Review

  1. Review and edit the detected products before saving. Helper text: "Review and edit detected products before saving the catalog." (ES: "Revisa y edita los productos detectados antes de guardar el catálogo.")
  2. Set the Menu name (ES: "Nombre del menú") — required (defaults to something like "Imported menu {date}" / ES: "Menú importado {date}").
  3. For each product, check name, description, price, Category (ES: "Categoría"), and flags such as Needs review (ES: "Requiere revisión") / Confidence (ES: "Confianza"). Add missing dishes with Add product (ES: "Agregar producto").
  4. Click Save catalog (ES: "Guardar catálogo"). On success you get "The catalog was saved successfully." (ES: "El catálogo se guardó correctamente.")

Catalog from image — limits & gotchas:

  • Same permission and Source gating as Massive Upload: needs massive-upload; hidden when Source is Integrated/External.
  • Max 5 files and 30 MB total across all files; allowed types: JPG, JPEG, PNG, WEBP, PDF.
  • A location must be selected before you continue ("Select a location before continuing." / ES: "Selecciona una ubicación antes de continuar.").
  • You must have at least one product and a menu name to save.
  • Always review extracted products — items marked Needs review especially — before saving.

Workflow

Where to find it: Menu management → Workflow · https://admin.eatsyorders.com/management/workflow

What it's for: A workflow shows a timed pop-up (modal) to your customers on a channel. You give it a name, choose the channel(s), choose the modal type, and set the days/hours it should appear — then design what the pop-up looks like and where its buttons send people. Typical uses: a "quick pick" promo modal, an informative announcement, or an allergen/age warning.

The page groups workflows by channel in expandable rows; expand a channel to see its workflows in a table (with an on/off switch per workflow, the active days, the hours, and an actions menu). Empty channels say "Nothing to show".

Visibility: Needs see-workflow. Creating needs add-workflow. Each workflow row's actions appear regardless, but editing routes you into the editor.

Each workflow row

For every workflow in a channel's table you see:

  • An on/off switch — flips the workflow active/inactive immediately (shows a success message).
  • The workflow name.
  • The active days (Sun–Sat avatars, or an "All week" chip).
  • The hours (a single range, or "Mixed" if days differ).
  • A three-dot actions menu with Edit Workflow (opens the visual editor), Edit date and time (ES: "Editar la fecha y hora" — reopens the quick form to change name/channels/type/schedule), and Delete (ES: "Eliminar").

Create a workflow (step 1 — the quick form)

  1. Click New workflow (ES: "Nuevo flujo de trabajo") at the top right.
  2. A form opens. Fill it in:
    • Name (ES: "Nombre") — required.
    • Channels (ES: "Canales") — at least one required.
    • Modal type (ES: "Modal") — required; one of Quick selection modal (ES: "Modal de selección rápida"), Informative modal (ES: "Modal informativa"), or Warning/alert modal (ES: "Modal de advertencia/alerta").
    • Add date and time conditions (ES: "Añadir condiciones de fecha y hora") — set the days and time ranges the pop-up should appear (same day-chip + time-range editor as Schedule; at least one configuration required, end after start).
  3. Click Create (ES: "Crear"). The workflow is saved and you're taken straight into the visual editor (the modal designer) to build the pop-up's content.

Step 2 — Design the pop-up (the workflow editor)

After creating (or via Edit Workflow on a row) you land on the editor at https://admin.eatsyorders.com/management/workflow/{id}/modal. This is a node-based canvas where you configure what the customer sees:

  • A Start node and an Informative node, plus Action nodes for each button you add.
  • For an informative modal you set a title, subtitle, and media (image/video — media is required for informative modals).
  • For a quick selection modal you attach the products the customer can pick (at least one product required).
  • For a warning modal you select the allergens to warn about (at least one required).
  • Buttons can link to a menu, category, product, or a URL (each button needs its text and a valid destination).
  • Click Preview (ES: "Vista previa") to see the rendered pop-up, then Save (ES: "Guardar"). A confirmation dialog appears; confirm to publish. On success you return to the workflow list.

Edit name / schedule only

To change just the workflow's name, channels, modal type, or schedule (without redesigning the pop-up), open the row's three-dot menu and choose Edit date and time (ES: "Editar la fecha y hora"). This reopens the quick form in update mode; change the fields and click Update.

Delete a workflow

  1. Open the workflow row's three-dot menu and choose Delete (ES: "Eliminar").
  2. A Delete workflow (ES: "Eliminar flujo de trabajo") confirmation dialog appears.
  3. Confirm. On success you get a "[name] was deleted successfully" message; on failure the dialog stays open to retry.

The "Highlight promotion" quick workflow

There is a shortcut that turns an existing promotion into a workflow pop-up in one dialog (the Highlight promotion / ES: "Destacar promoción" modal, reached from the promotions area). It pre-fills the workflow from the promotion and asks you for:

FieldWhat it doesRequired / validation
Modal typeQuick selection or Informative.Required.
Title / SubtitleShown only when Informative is chosen.Optional text.
MediaImage/video for the pop-up (informative only).Required for informative modals.
ScheduleDays and time ranges the pop-up appears. At least one configuration required.
Screen / Where does it goWhere a tap leads — menu, category, product, etc.A screen type is required; if it's menu/category/product you must also link the specific item.

Click Create to generate the workflow from the promotion (you'll get a success or error message). You can fine-tune it afterward in the workflow editor.

Workflow gotchas / limits:

  • Name, at least one channel, and a modal type are all required before you can create the workflow.
  • At least one day/time configuration is required, and each range's end time must be after its start time.
  • The content of the pop-up (products, media, allergens, buttons) is designed in the second screen (the visual editor), not the first form. Creating a workflow always sends you there next.
  • Media is required for informative pop-ups; selection pop-ups require at least one product; warning pop-ups require at least one allergen.
