Channels: Brand, Website and Events

Configure splash screens, slides, social links, app download links and templates; build your microsite; and publish events.

The Channels (ES: "Canales") section is where you control how your restaurant looks and behaves across the places your customers see you: your microsite branding, your website builder, and your events. This guide covers the three Channels items below.

What you can do here

  • Brand config — set splash screens, slide banners, social-network links, tracking IDs, app download links, and which microsite theme you use.
  • Website (Microsite) — create your microsite, edit each page section, manage SEO, and build a marketing landing page.
  • Events — publish events with photos that show on your microsite, and see who subscribed.

Where to find it

In the left sidebar, open the Channels (ES: "Canales") accordion. It contains up to three items, each gated by permission and (for Website and Events) by product:

Sidebar itemURLPermission(s)Product needed
Brand config (ES: "Configuración de marca")https://admin.eatsyorders.com/channels/brand-config?tab=splash-screensany of see-appearance, see-splash, see-social (sidebar item only — see note below)— (always available)
Website builder (ES: "Constructor de sitio web")https://admin.eatsyorders.com/channels/website?tab=pagessee-websiteMicrosites
Events (ES: "Eventos")https://admin.eatsyorders.com/channels/eventssee-event or see-subscribedMicrosites

Visibility note (read this first): A sidebar item only appears if (a) your account has the listed product and (b) your user role has at least one of the listed permissions. So an account whose plan does not include Microsites will not see Website builder or Events at all. Brand config has no product gate, so it shows for anyone with one of its permissions. If you open a page you lack permission for, you see a "you do not have permission" message instead of the tool. Action buttons inside each page are further gated (for example, add-splash, edit-social, delete-event), so you may be able to view something without being able to add, edit or delete it.

Brand config

Where to find it: Channels → Brand confighttps://admin.eatsyorders.com/channels/brand-config

Brand config is a tabbed page with up to five tabs. Each tab is shown only if your role has its permission, so you may see fewer than five:

TabLabel (EN / ES)Permission
Slides CollectionsSlides Collectionssee-slide
Splash ScreensSplash Screens (ES: "Pantallas de inicio")see-splash
Social NetworksSocial networks (ES: "Redes sociales")see-social
App Download LinksApp Download Links (ES: "Enlaces de Descarga de Aplicaciones")see-app-links
TemplatesTemplatessee-templates

To switch tabs, click the tab name (or add ?tab=slide-collections, ?tab=splash-screens, ?tab=social-networks, ?tab=app-download-links, or ?tab=templates to the URL).

Important — the Brand config sidebar link uses fewer permissions than the page has tabs. The Brand config sidebar entry only appears for users who have at least one of these three permissions: see-appearance, see-splash, or see-social. The other tab permissions — see-slide (Slides Collections), see-app-links (App Download Links), and see-templates (Templates) — are not counted by the sidebar. This creates two edge cases for staff roles:

  1. The sidebar link can be missing even when you have a tab. If a user's only Brand config permission is see-slide, see-app-links, or see-templates, the Brand config item will not show in the sidebar at all — so they can't reach their tab by clicking through the menu. They can still open the tab by typing the URL directly (for example https://admin.eatsyorders.com/channels/brand-config?tab=app-download-links), provided their permission is one of the five the page itself accepts (see next point).
  2. The page wall blocks see-templates-only users. When the page loads, it checks a list of five permissions — see-appearance, see-splash, see-social, see-slide, see-app-links — and shows the "you do not have permission" message to anyone who has none of them. see-templates is not on this list, so a user whose only Brand config permission is see-templates is blocked at the page even via direct URL, and effectively can't open the Templates tab at all through normal navigation. To give someone the Templates tab in practice, also grant one of the five page-level permissions (most simply see-splash or see-social).

Practical takeaway for account admins managing staff roles: to make sure a teammate can both see the Brand config menu link and open whatever tab you gave them, include at least one of see-splash or see-social alongside any of the narrower permissions (see-slide, see-app-links, see-templates).

Throughout Brand config there is a distinction between Location (this specific place) settings and Company settings (shared across all your places). Where both exist, you fill in each separately.

Slides Collections tab

What it's for: Build the rotating banner/slide groups that appear on your microsite/app. Slides are organized into three sections of the page — Top section, Middle section, Bottom section — selected by the sub-tabs at the top.

How it's organized: Each section holds one or more slide groups. A slide group has a name, the channels it runs on, and one or more slides (each slide can have an image/video, title, subtitle, CTA, a linked collection of products, and — depending on section — its own schedule).

How to create a slide group:

  1. Open the Slides Collections tab and pick a section sub-tab (Top / Middle / Bottom).
  2. Click New slide group (ES: "Nuevo grupo de diapositivas"). (On an empty section you can also click Create new collection.) This opens the builder at /channels/brand-config/slides/new/{section}?tab=slide-collections.
  3. Enter a Name (required) and pick at least one Channel (required — "At least one channel is required").
  4. Add slides: each slide needs at least one slide present ("At least one slide is required"). Per slide you can set title, subtitle, text color (hex), a CTA label + URL, policies, an image/video, and optionally link a product collection.
  5. For Middle/Bottom groups, set the group Schedule (days + time ranges; end time must be after start time, at least one day configuration required). For Top groups, the schedule lives per slide.
  6. Click Save and confirm.

How to edit / delete a slide group:

  1. In the section list, click a slide group to open it (route /channels/brand-config/slides/{section}/{slideGroupId}/edit).
  2. Change fields as needed, then Save.
  3. To delete, use the Delete action in the builder; a delete confirmation modal appears. Deleting is permanent.

Field reference (slide group):

FieldWhat it doesRequired / validation
NameInternal name of the groupRequired to identify it
ChannelWhere this group shows (microsite, on-site, etc.)At least one channel required
SlidesThe individual bannersAt least one slide required
Slide → text colorColor of slide title/subtitle textValid hex code if set
Schedule (Middle/Bottom group, or per slide on Top)When the group/slide is activeEach day needs start + end time; end must be after start; at least one day config

Gotchas:

  • The Top section is limited to one slide group — once you create it, the New slide group button is disabled for the Top section.
  • Adding/editing requires add-slide / edit-slide; without them the buttons are hidden.

Splash Screens tab

What it's for: Full-screen images/videos that show when your app/microsite loads (for example, a promo or welcome screen). There are Location splashes (ES: "Pantallas de inicio de la sede") for this place and a Company splash (ES: "Pantalla de inicio de la compañía") shared across places.

How to set timing (Splash Screens Settings):

  1. At the top of the tab, set Splash screen display time (ES: "Tiempo de visualización en pantalla de inicio") — minimum 10 seconds.
  2. Set Splash screen transition time (ES: "Tiempo de transición en pantalla de inicio") — minimum 3 seconds.
  3. Click Save. Values below the minimums show an error and block saving.

How to create a splash:

  1. Click New splash (location) or New company splash (company). A drawer slides in from the right.
  2. Toggle Active on/off.
  3. Enter a Name (required, up to 255 characters).
  4. For a location splash, pick one or more Channels (at least one required; company splashes don't need a channel).
  5. Add the media — an image or video (at least one media file required).
  6. Set the Schedule (days + time ranges; end after start; at least one day config).
  7. Click Save and confirm.

How to edit / toggle / delete a splash:

  • Edit: click the edit icon on a splash row to reopen the drawer.
  • Activate/deactivate: flip the switch on the row. Important: on the same channel + overlapping schedule, turning one splash on automatically turns off the conflicting active one (only one splash can be live per channel/time).
  • Delete: click delete on the row; a delete confirmation modal appears. Deletion is permanent.

Field reference (splash form):

FieldWhat it doesRequired / validation
ActiveWhether the splash is liveToggle
NameSplash nameRequired, max 255 chars
ChannelsWhere it appears (location splash only)At least one required
MediaThe splash image or videoAt least one file required
ScheduleWhen it showsEach day start+end; end after start; at least one day; cannot overlap another active splash on the same channel

Social Networks tab

What it's for: Two things in one tab — your public Social networks links and your private Integration IDs (tracking pixels/analytics).

How to edit your social links:

  1. In the Social networks card, fill the handle for each platform you use (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.). Enter just the handle/value, not the full URL.
  2. Click Save (next to the Social networks heading) and confirm.

How to edit your Integration IDs:

  1. In the Integration IDs (ES: "IDs de Integración") card, enter values such as Google Place ID, Facebook Pixel ID, and Google Analytics ID.
  2. Click Save (next to the Integration IDs heading) and confirm.

The two cards save independently — each has its own Save button and confirmation. Both require the edit-social permission; without it the Save buttons are hidden.

Where to find it: Brand config → App Download Linkshttps://admin.eatsyorders.com/channels/brand-config?tab=app-download-links

What it's for: Configure the "download our app" links your customers see (App Store, Google Play, Web App, Other), plus an optional coupon to incentivize downloads. These settings are at the company level.

How to configure the general settings:

  1. Under General Configuration (ES: "Configuración General"), toggle the overall Active switch on/off.
  2. Toggle Enable Coupon (ES: "Habilitar Cupón"); when on, a Coupon Code (ES: "Código de Cupón") field appears — it is required when the coupon is enabled.
  3. Click Save (top of the tab) and confirm.

How to add a download link:

  1. In the Download Links (ES: "Enlaces de Descarga") card, click Add New Link (ES: "Agregar Nuevo Enlace"). A dialog opens.
  2. Pick the Platform — App Store (iOS), Google Play (Android), Web App, or Other. Each platform can be added only once (you can't add a platform that already has a link).
  3. Enter the URL (must be a valid URL, e.g. https://example.com/app-download).
  4. Click Create.

How to edit / delete a link: edit a link inline in the list; use the delete control on a link to remove it (a success message confirms).

Limits & gotchas:

  • Maximum 2 download links — the Add New Link button hides once you have two (or once every platform is used).
  • The platform dropdown only lists platforms you haven't already added.
  • Adding requires add-app-links; editing the general config requires edit-app-links.

Field reference (Add link dialog):

FieldWhat it doesRequired / validation
PlatformWhich store/channel the link points toRequired; can't duplicate an existing platform
URLThe download URLRequired; must be a valid URL

Templates tab

What it's for: Choose the visual theme/template for your microsite. The tab shows the available templates (e.g. Basic and Plus) as selectable preview cards.

How to select a template:

  1. Click the template card you want — it highlights as selected.
  2. Click Save (top right). A success message confirms. The Save button is disabled until you pick a template.

There is exactly one active theme per place; saving replaces the previous selection.

Website builder (Microsite)

Where to find it: Channels → Website builderhttps://admin.eatsyorders.com/channels/website?tab=pages Visibility: Requires the Microsites product and the see-website permission.

This page has two tabs: Pages (ES: "Páginas") and Website builder (ES: "Constructor de sitio web", the landing-page builder).

Pages tab

What it's for: Manage your microsite's pages, their sections, and SEO. If you don't have a microsite yet, this is where you create one.

How to create your microsite (first time):

  1. Open the Pages tab. If no site exists, you see an empty state with Create new website (ES: "Crear nuevo sitio web").
  2. Click it. The system creates the microsite and flags this place as having a microsite. A success message confirms ("Website was created successfully").
    • This requires the add-website permission.

How to edit a page section:

  1. Once the site exists, each page is listed and can be expanded to show its sections (Hero, Hot Picks, Find Us, Reviews/"What do you think", Social Networks, etc.).
  2. Click an editable section. You go to the section editor at /channels/website/{websitePageId}/{section-name} (for example .../hero, .../hot-picks, .../find-us).
  3. Fill in the section's content (text, cards, images/videos depending on the section type) and Save. A success message confirms.
    • Editing a section requires the edit-website permission.

How to manage SEO for a page:

  1. On a page's row, click the SEO edit control (opens a drawer).
  2. Set the Meta title and Meta description and save. A page shows as Configured or Not configured.

Gotchas:

  • The section editor only loads for editable sections; non-editable sections aren't clickable.
  • The page handles its own permission check: without edit-website you see the "no permission" message in the section editor.

Website builder tab (landing builder)

What it's for: Build a full standalone marketing landing page / microsite for your restaurant — a guided, multi-step builder that pulls your business details (and Google reviews) automatically, lets you pick a template, then fine-tune every section, the colors/fonts, the top bar, per-page SEO, and image alt text before you publish it live.

This tab has two sub-tabs at the top:

  • Location (ES: "Por lugar") — builds a landing for the place you currently have selected. This is the only sub-tab with the Google-import step.
  • Company (ES: "Por compañía") — builds one landing for your whole company (all places). It skips the Google step and starts straight at the template/preview step, and it only has a Home page (no Menu/Catering/Events/Hiring pages).

Important — switching sub-tabs wipes unsaved work. Clicking between Location and Company resets the builder to a fresh state. If you've made changes you haven't saved, save the draft first, then switch.

One landing per scope. When you reopen the tab, the builder automatically loads (restores) any landing you previously saved for that place/company, so you continue editing the same one rather than starting over.

The builder steps

The Location builder runs in three steps; the Company builder runs in two (it has no Google step). A Back button is available to step backward (except on the Company template step, which is the first step there).

Step 1 — Find your business on Google (Location sub-tab only)

What it's for: Look your restaurant up on Google and pull in its public details (name, address, phone, hours) and real Google reviews/ratings so the landing starts pre-filled instead of blank. (ES title: "Encuentra tu negocio en Google".)

  1. In the search box (Search for a place… / ES: "Buscar un lugar…"), start typing your business name or address. Google suggestions appear in a dropdown.
  2. Click the correct suggestion. The builder shows Loading place details… while it fetches the data; the selected place's label then appears under the box.
    • If it can't load the place, you see "Could not load place details. Try another result or try again later." — pick a different suggestion or retry.
  3. Once details load, the Continue (ES: "Continuar") button enables. Click it to go to the template step.
    • Behind the scenes, the builder also fetches your Google reviews and pre-fills the Reviews section of the landing with them (author, text, star rating, and how long ago). It pulls them in the current interface language (English or Spanish).
    • Gotcha: the reviews come from Google, so in the editor (Step 3) the Reviews section is locked to the title and description only — you can't hand-edit individual reviews. Whether reviews load at all depends on Google having reviews for the place you picked.
Step 2 — Choose a template and preview

What it's for: Compare the available templates with your own business data filled in, pick one, and (the first time) generate the page content. (ES title: "Elige un template y previsualiza".)

  1. The page shows a live preview of your landing using your business data and brand logo/colors. Use the Desktop / Mobile toggle on the preview to check both layouts.
  2. At the top there are template chips — Template 1, Template 2, Template 3 — plus a chip with your business name. Click a template chip to instantly refresh the preview in that layout. (Each template shows a slightly different set of sections; for example Template 1 includes a Features section and Template 2 includes a Promotions section.)
  3. Click Continue to editor (ES: "Continuar al editor"). The first time, this generates the landing content (you'll see "Generating content…" and a spinner) — the button is disabled while it runs. After it finishes (or if you already generated it before), it opens the section editor.
Step 3 — Customize your microsite (the section editor)

What it's for: The main editor. On the left is a Pages panel plus, for the Home page, the Theme, Top bar, Sections list and the section editor; on the right is the live preview. (ES title: "Personaliza tu micrositio".)

Top of the editor has the key actions (shown when the Home page is selected):

  • A Published / Draft status toggle (top right). Draft (not live) means nobody sees it yet; flip the switch to Published (live) to make the landing public, or back to unpublish. The toggle only works after you've saved at least once (it needs a saved landing to publish).
  • Save draft (ES: "Guardar borrador") — saves all your changes. Save before you leave or switch sub-tabs. If no place/company is selected the button is disabled ("No restaurant context is selected").
  • Regenerate with AI (ES: "Regenerar con AI") — re-generates the page content from your business data (replaces current generated copy). Use with care.
  • Back — returns to the template step.

How to edit the page content (Home page):

  1. Pages panel: at the top-left, the Pages list shows your landing's pages. For a Location landing these are Home, Menu, Catering, Events, and We're hiring; a Company landing only has Home. Click a page to select it.
    • Each page has an Active / Inactive switch (turn a page off to hide it from the live site) and a Manage SEO Settings button (see SEO drawer below).
    • Only the Home page has the live preview and full section editing. The other pages support only activation and SEO — selecting them shows a "Live preview and section customization are only available for Home" notice.
  2. Theme (ES: "Tema"): pick the Heading font and Body font, and set the Primary color and Secondary color (each has quick-pick swatches and a hex picker). The preview updates instantly.
  3. Top bar (ES: "Top bar"): edit the Promo text shown above the navigation.
  4. Sections (ES: "Secciones"): the list of page sections (Hero, Popular dishes, Reviews, Gallery, Storytelling, FAQ, Visit us, etc.). Click a section to edit it; drag rows to reorder them; use each row's visibility toggle to show/hide a section.
    • Visit us is always shown and cannot be hidden or reordered out. Its address/phone/hours come from your location data — in the editor you can only change its title and description.
    • Reviews is locked to title + description (the reviews themselves come from Google).
  5. Section editor: below the Sections list, edit the selected section's fields (headline, description, items, CTA labels, etc., depending on the section).
    • Images: the Hero, Storytelling and Gallery sections let you Upload, Change, or Remove images. The Gallery is limited to 4 images — adding more shows "Only 4 gallery images are allowed." and the extras are ignored.
    • AI image generation (Enhance/Generate buttons on those images) only appears if your account has the EatsyAI product; without it you upload images manually.
  6. Click Save draft to persist everything, then flip the status toggle to Published when it looks right.

Per-page SEO drawer (Manage SEO Settings):

  1. On any page row in the Pages panel, click Manage SEO Settings (ES: "Gestionar Configuración de SEO"). A drawer slides in from the right titled "SEO - {page name}".
  2. At the top, switch between the EN and ES flag tabs to set SEO per language.
  3. Fill the fields and click Save SEO Settings (ES: "Guardar Configuración de SEO").
FieldWhat it doesNotes
Meta title (ES: "Meta título")Title shown in browser tabs and search resultsRecommended 50–60 characters
Meta description (ES: "Meta descripción")Short page summary for search enginesRecommended 150–160 characters
KeywordsSearch keywords for the pageOptional
  • For the Home page, saving SEO updates it in the draft ("Save the landing to persist Home") — so you must also Save draft for it to stick. For the other pages it saves immediately.

Per-language image alt-text drawer (Edit images alt text):

  1. When the Home page is selected and it has images, an Edit images alt text button (ES: "Editar alt de imagenes") appears under the Pages panel.
  2. Click it to open a right-side drawer listing the Home page images — Hero image (ES: "Imagen hero"), Story image (ES: "Imagen de historia"), and each Gallery image — each with a thumbnail.
  3. Switch between the EN and ES tabs and type an Alt text (ES: "Texto alternativo") describing each image in that language (for accessibility and SEO).
  4. Click Save. The alt text is saved into the draft, so Save draft afterward to persist it.

Field reference (landing builder, Home editor):

Gotchas / limits:

  • Switching the Location/Company sub-tab resets unsaved work — save first.
  • Save draft does not publish — you must also flip the Published toggle. The toggle is disabled until you've saved at least once.
  • The Company landing has no Google-import step and only a Home page.
  • Gallery maxes out at 4 images; Visit us can't be hidden; Reviews and Visit us are content-locked (title/description only).
  • AI image enhancement requires the EatsyAI product.

Events

Where to find it: Channels → Eventshttps://admin.eatsyorders.com/channels/events Visibility: Requires the Microsites product and see-event and/or see-subscribed.

Two tabs: Events (ES: "Evento", create/manage events) and Subscribed (ES: "Suscrito", who signed up).

Events tab

What it's for: Publish events (with a gallery of photos) that appear on your microsite.

How to create an event:

  1. Click New event (ES: "Nuevo evento"). A drawer opens on the right.
  2. Toggle Active on/off.
  3. Fill Name (required, max 255 chars), Description (optional, max 500 chars), pick a Date, and optionally a Location (max 300 chars).
  4. Add up to 3 photos in the Event Gallery.
  5. Click Save and confirm. A success message appears.

How to edit / toggle / delete an event:

  • Edit: click the edit action on an event row to reopen the drawer.
  • Activate/deactivate: flip the switch on the row.
  • Delete: click delete on the row; a delete confirmation modal appears. Deletion is permanent.

Adding requires add-event; editing/deleting require edit-event / delete-event.

Subscribed tab

What it's for: See the list of people who subscribed to your events (name and details).

How to remove a subscription:

  1. Open the Subscribed tab — subscribers are listed in a table.
  2. Click delete on a row; a delete confirmation modal appears.
  3. Confirm. The list refreshes and a success message confirms.

This tab is view + delete only (you don't create subscriptions here — customers subscribe from the microsite).
